  9. This contains the latest information about the patch for American 
  10. Civil War from Interactive Magic. If you have additional problems
  11. or questions, contact Interactive Magic customer support as 
  12. described in the game manual.

  19. The ACW patch fixes almost all of the speed problems with the 
  20. game on 8 meg machines, and windows 3.1, as well as improves
  21. the AI.  It is a general improvement with minor tweaks in the game
  22. that will make it even more fun and enjoyable.
  23. NOTE: If you have already downloaded a previous patch map, 
  24. you will not need to download the map again.

  26. To install the patch copy the files contained in the patch zip
  27. file into the directory that American Civil War is installed in.
  28.  
  29. This patch will overwrite several Civil War files with updated
  30. ones.

  32. Things fixed in this patch.
  33. 1.Ocean Naval movement around Florida when using amphibious invasions.

  35. 2. Better avoidance of enemy forts during ocean naval moves.
  36.  
  37. 3. Fixed river movement, river fleets should be able to find their
  38. way better now.

  40. 4. Got rid of the problem resulting in the message "Forces unavailable,
  41. Corps disbanded"

  43. 5.  Fixed European intervention forces and builds.
